Indian cricket team beats
Pakistan's cricket team
by 29 runs in world cup
in Indian city of Mohali
In India, reportedly Indian cricket team beat Pakistan's cricket team by 29 runs in the world cup in the Indian city of Mohali on Wednesday, more than billion people have watched the match worldwide, news reports said.
It was the first time the two sides had played on each others soil since the 2008 Mumbai attack.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani was invited by India's Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh in what is being described as cricket diplomacy. Two prime Ministers of the two countries including dignitories watched the match with great interest.
The match was held amid tight security and authories imposed a ban on flights over the stadium.Thousands of police and paramilitary forces were diployed around the venue,news reports said.

2012 Olympic Games
World's Greatest 2012 Olympic Games will be held in London, reportedly the International Olympic Committee has annouced in Singapore at 1249 BST on Wednesday 6, July, 2005.
London won a two-way fight with Paris by 54 to 50 votes at the IOC meeting in Singapore on Wednesday 6, July 2005, after bids from Moscow, New York and Madrid were eliminited.
News of the London' victory delighted by supporters in London and in many parts of the world, news reported.

India's Cricket team wins

In India, the world cricket cup 2011 is won by the India's cricket team against Sri Lanka's cricket team at Wankhede Stadium In Mumbai on Saturday, where top politicians and celebrities including huge crowd gathered to watch the match, news reports said.
Reportedly India beat Sri Lanka to win the world cricket cup 2011 for the first time in 28 years with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni guiding the run chase at the stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.
Dhoni reportedly scored an unbeaten 91, sharing a 109-run stand with Gautam Gambhir (97) and finishing with a giant six , as India chased down Sri Lanka's 274-6 to win six wickets.
India jubient in winning the world cup 2011, news reports said.

In India, according to media reports, opening ceremony of Commonwealth Games glimpse highlights country's energetic and progressive work spectacularly on Sunday evening in Delhi, providing its guests from seventy one Commonwealth nations, a glimpse of its arts and culture, showing glorious of of the past, dynamic of the present and promising of the future, during the opening ceremony of Games.
The Swagatam song smartly sang and performance of thousands of children in historical costume surprised the audience.
Against low expectations and mounting criticism of India's capabilities to hold the Games in keeping with its growing reputations of a developing economy, the show did more than just entertain those present there. It left the audience upbeat and restored the country's pride that had been so badly bruised in the weeks gone by, and there were several moments that brought the roars from an enthusiastic Delhi audience.
Britain's Prince Charles read out a message from the Queen who is the head of the Commonwealth - was when India's President Pratibha Patil declared the Games open, with lets the Games begin, raised a proudy moment during the ceremony.
The event was watched on TV screen worldwide.
The Games started with full swing on Monday, news reports said.
